Welcome to St. Oliver’s Preschool!  This program is based on the premise that early childhood education is a very important stage in the development and growth of each child. St. Oliver’s Preschool seeks to provide the best environment possible to promote each child’s spiritual, cognitive, emotional, and physical growth; to strengthen their capacity in establishing healthy and meaningful relationships with their peers; to find joy and satisfaction in creative work; and to respect themselves and others.

Our classroom teachers use the thematic approach to teaching in conjunction with nationally recognized curricula including Handwriting Without Tears and Zoo Phonics. We also offer weekly chapel time, computer class (for 3’s & 4’s), and music and movement class. STREAM (Science Technology Religion Engineering Art Math) is the guide to development and implementation of our curriculum.  Throughout the school year, we have many special activities including fire truck visit, holiday parties, guest entertainers, and field day.  We would love to have your child join our preschool family!

Discovery 2’s Class

Teacher/child ratio – 1:6
The focus of our two-year-old program is social interactions, gross-motor skills, and language development. Center time is the heart of their day. A morning of big fun for our twos as they work with their friends to make choices, problem solve, plan and carry out their plans.

Three Year Old Classes

Teacher/child ratio – 1:7

Language and self-expression, motor-skills, social interactions and learning to love school are key elements in our threes program. Children will learn in a print-rich environment filled with choices and activities that both teach and challenge.

Four Year Old PreK Class

Teacher/child ratio – 1:8
Readiness is the focus for this group of active learners! Hands-on activities, that encourage motor-skills development – to get ready for writing; small group projects – to encourage social skill; problem solving – to enhance critical thinking and cognitive development; emergent reading and writing activities – to make meaning of print and play time – to teach that school is fun. These will be the skills and activities that will build a lifelong love for school for our busy four-year-old students.

Come learn, play, and grow with us!
